Ramayana Week
Ramayana week celebration named Sriramanamayanam was inaugurated by Dr. N Hemalatha, former HOD, Department of Malayalam, Bhavan’s Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad. Inter-House Declamation competition winner, Meenakshi S Varma, mesmerised everyone with her flawless presentation of the character-Sita. An Inter-House Paper presentation competition based on the timeless epic The Ramayana for classes 11 and 12.
On the 2nd day of Ramayana week celebration, students of Ahimsa and Dharmam houses recited Ramayana and presented the meaning of the portion read during the assembly. Shivram Aravind of Std I D and Kalyani Manu Pillai of Std I C presented their prize winning Ramayana stories in English and Malayalam respectively. The second prize winning bhajan team of ‘Sathyam house’ performed during the assembly
On the 3rd day, Ramayana was recited and meaning was explained by students of Jnanam and Sathyam house. Maisha Shah of Std II D and Daya Syam of Std II D presented their prize winning Ramayana stories in English and Malayalam respectively. The school choir captivated the audience with their soul-stirring rendition of a bhajan
On the 4th day, Ramayana was recited and meaning explained by students of Sevanam and Shanti house. The First prize winning bhajan team of ‘Thyagam house’ performed during the assembly Inter-class Volleyball and Basketball competition for Std XII was held during the 6th and 7th period.
The week-long ‘Ramayana’ celebrations culminated magnificently with the grand ‘Sri Rama Pattabhishekam’ graced by the presence of the famous singer, Radhika Sethumadhavan. The students performed a captivating dance performance titled ‘Ramabhajan’ , and the teachers’ soulful bhajan renditions added vigour and spirit, making the event even more vibrant and lively.
