  • The PEACE Team Visit

The exchange programme PEACE was conceptualized in the year 1995 to establish a link which later cemented into a strong bond between BVM Girinagar and The Tunbridge Wells Schools in Kent, England. The students and teachers of each school visit each other every alternate year and has continued undisturbed for more than a decade.

This unique programme offers students from both continents an excellent opportunity to learn and explore each other’s culture, traditions and way of life. While staying with the host families, the visiting guests get a firsthand experience of their host’s lifestyle and also know about the social and cultural differences between the east and west. Such awareness of the different dimensions of life opens up the minds resulting in a higher level of tolerance and acceptance.

Under the auspices of the Mathrubhoomi seed programme, the teachers of Tunbridge Wells Grammar Schools, Shri. Nithyananda Bhatt, member of the School Management and the Principal, plant saplings of friendship jointly as a symbolic gesture of standing united for the cause of environmental protection.
